Roles And Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for understanding internal requirements and converting that into appealing, highly usable interfaces through development teams
• Engages with the business development team and/or internal department early on to seek a deeper appreciation of the business problem/goals.
• Capable of working directly with Vendor teams in an iterative/agile manner to dramatically improve the deliverables in a short time.
• Develops understanding of the end users of the website/application through secondary and primary research (user interviews, traffic data).
• Capable of generating user personas and user scenarios.
• Manage existing environments and Trouble shoot Issues.
• Developing & deploying new IT products for the business (employee/restaurant/customer use) based on business goals.
• Creating avenues for the integration of the latest, most relevant technology to the business logic.

• Conceptual understanding of User Interface Design and the Design Process.
• Excellent time-management, multi-tasking, and communication skills. Capable of juggling multiple projects and related complexities at the same time.
• Capable of assessing the business’ IT needs and initiating developmental efforts for the same
• Capable of working with cross-functional teams to get the requirements down clearly and build a lean system
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and change by creatively solving problems
• Contributes to the business architecture by combining external knowledge of the latest in technology with the business’ goals
• Conceptual understanding of User Interface Design and the Design Process.
• Exposure to running projects and working with multiple teams.
• Self-starter, that is, able to collaborate actively with others in a cross-functional team.

Desired Qualifications And Experience

• 5 yr+ experience on full-stack web development with Nodejs and related frameworks such as ExpressJs, with a very strong grasp and understanding of JavaScript. Mandatory
• Working knowledge of Databases, both relational (such as PostgreSQL) and in-memory database (such as Redis) Mandatory
• Basic understanding of html5 and CSS. Previous experience in working with Bootstrap or any other responsive UI framework is a strong plus Preferred
• UI framework is a strong plus Preferred

Working knowledge of Android application development is a strong plus Preferred

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).

Job Location : Chennai

Reporting To : IT Technical Manager

Expected DOJ : Immediate

CTC is about 55 – 65K per month.

This would require travel within the city (based in chennai) and potentially to other cities as we grow. Total travel required is about 25%. (ref:hirist.com)
